Pee Machine

Okay, this is sort of an embarrassing parenting story but I can't help but post it. I was changing Hunter into his pajamas tonight and noticed that he was getting a little bit of a diaper rash. I pulled out my handy dandy "butt cream" and got ready to apply it... (I'm sure you know where this is going...) I only had him uncovered for a second but he started peeing all over himself! My first reaction was to scream but them I realized that I needed to cover this kid up! He got it all over his chest but luckily, not on his face. He was laughing because I'm sure my reaction was pretty funny.

Josh and I were about to eat, so I decided to just put him back in his day clothes and I'd give him a bath after we ate (I had him stripped down to his diaper when the "incident" happened). He still needed "butt cream" and I never did get any on him because of all of the peeing. So, I told him, "Okay, mommy needs to put some butt cream on, so don't pee again." I uncover him for a second and what does he do?!? Pees AGAIN! But this time, pees all over his chest AND his face! I screamed again and just shook my head while he laughed...

I've now come to the conclusion that this is one of the reasons why men's pee is sterile...

My favorite parts about this story were hearing Kaylee squeal twice when it happened and the fact that she didn't put a diaper back on him after it happened the first time. hehe

I think they have a "pee-pee teepee" at Motherhood Maternity. It's like a little cloth tee-pee that you place over him while your preparing to change him & he wont get pee everywhere. If my baby is a boy I think I'll be getting a pack of them.

That's a good idea Jaime... my visiting teacher mentioned those when I told her the story, so maybe I should invest in them. I haven't really had a problem with it until now because I really haven't had to use diaper cream. But hopefully practice makes perfect! :P

Thank goodness I didn't have a boy for moments like that. However, I have recieved "it" from the other end. So I suppose it "stinks" either way you spin it.
